We all love the archipelago and want to develop its potential for leisure activities in harmony with nature, while at the same time protecting its delicate environment.

We strive to make you feel comfortable and have confidence in us, whether you are renting or buying a kayak, learning paddling techniques at one of our courses, or going on a kayaking trip with one of our experienced guides.

Ylva Ringhagen
I own and run Kajak & Uteliv, and I love the Roslagen archipelago and the healthy outdoor activities it offers. I'm your contact person when it comes to making bookings and arranging activities. I also sell kayaks and a variety of accessories.

Per Ringhagen
I own Roden Marine, a company that rents out sailboats and arranges sailing courses.
Roden Marine and Kajak & Uteliv run joint activities that combine sailing and kayaking, and offer various programs to suit your needs. I am a sea captain with 40 years' experience at sea and I spent the last 15 years as master of passenger and cargo vessels worldwide. I spend most of my free time sailing in home waters.

Lars Larsson
I am a guide and have led many sea kayaking trips and kayaking trips in the Stockholm archipelago. I have many years of experience in sea kayaking and have trained kayak instructors at Friluftsfrämjandet for eleven years. I am also skilled in life-saving techniques and can offer useful tips for you to help yourself and others in tricky situations.

Angel Fernandez
For 25 years, I have been canoeing in the waters of Värmland and Dalsland. For the last 10 years, I have kayaked in the Stockholm archipelago and other waters in and around Stockholm. Paddling in the moonlight is something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. My goal is to make your kayaking experience in the archipelago unforgettable. I speak Swedish, English, Spanish, Italian and French.

Jens Melkeraaen
My name is Jens and I am one of the guides at Kajak & Uteliv. For me, kayaking is not just the time spent on the water - everything around it is part of the fun, from the early morning dip to the evening barbecue and fantastic night sky. I trained to be a certified adventure guide in New Zealand, and I have worked as a shooter of rapids in Dalarna. When I'm not having fun at work, I'm studying to be a teacher in Stockholm.

Ann-Sofie Forsström
Hi my name is Ann-sofie and this is my second summer working for Kajak&uteliv.
Have been paddling for almost four years now, I started of In New Zealand with a two year diploma in adventure tourism, after this education I got a job as a kayak instructor/guide and since then I have been working in Sweden, New Zealand and Australia.
I often get the question, why just kayaking? For me it’s fun, relaxing, challenging and a good way to se the nature, a sport that suits lots of people with different goals.

Blake Garbutt
Hi my name is Blake, I am from Melbourne Australia.
For the past 7 years I have been guiding and instructing various outdoor sports, like sea kayaking, river kayaking, canoeing and rafting. In winter I work as a ski guide in the French Alps! This is my first season guiding in Sweden, so it’s going to be a great new challenge for me!
I look forward to seeing you on the water!

Jimmy Pettersson
Hi! My name i´s Jimmy. I´m 30years old and been studying outdoorlife the last two years. During this time kayaking became a big interest for me. I like to work with people and to do it in this environment i´s really nice. Another big interest that i have i´s to cook, and when you´re on the sea it´s even more important. For me kayaking i´s to enjoy the good in life.
